Ethan Corson is an experienced and versatile litigator, having represented clients in commercial and business litigation, employment, breach of contract, tort, mass tort, products liability, financial services, and antitrust matters. Ethan has participated in all phases of litigation, from initiation of complaint through appeal.
Ethan previously practiced for seven years at one of the country’s leading law firms, earning recognition as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a national rating service of outstanding lawyers. He also worked at one of the nation’s leading labor law firms.
In addition to his legal practice, since 2021 Ethan has represented Northeast Johnson County in the Kansas Senate. He serves on the Senate Judiciary, Tax, Utilities and Legislative Post Audit Committees, as well as the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and Regulations and the Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice Oversight, where he is the Ranking Member.
Ethan has also held several significant positions in government and politics. In 2012, Ethan served as Deputy Voter Protection Director for the Obama-Biden campaign in Wisconsin, helping develop and execute a statewide voter protection program in a critical battleground state. He used that expertise to play a critical role in the Kansas Democratic Party’s 2014 election protection effort.
Ethan was then appointed by President Barack Obama to two senior leadership positions at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He first served as Director of the Executive Secretariat under Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and then as Chief of Staff of the International Trade Administration. Drawing on those experiences, Ethan later served as a Fellow at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas, focusing on International Trade.
During the 2018 campaign cycle, Ethan served as Executive Director of the Kansas Democratic Party, leading the party through its most successful election cycle in a decade, including the election of Governor Laura Kelly and Congresswoman Sharice Davids.
