Whether a simple will is needed or a complex trust, Grant works with clients to individually tailor each estate plan in a way that achieves his clients’ goals for an easy and stress-free experience. Every complete estate plan should contain these four documents at the very least: A Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney for Financial Decisions, Power of Attorney for Health Care Decisions, and a Living Will/Advance Directive. Grant meets with clients and explains the importance of each of these documents as well as the benefits of revocable and irrevocable trusts. When faced with the death or incapacity of a loved one, many are lost and don’t know where to begin. Grant has the experience in trust administration as well as in probate courts throughout Kansas and Missouri to guide clients through the legal process swiftly and efficiently.
Grant also provides a full range of transactional and corporate legal services. From corporate entity formation and drafting of operating agreements and bylaws, to facilitating corporate transactions such as asset purchase and buy-sell agreements. His clients include small business owners as well as large businesses with locations spanning the country. Regardless of the size of the client, Grant works to establish personal and meaningful relationships with each business owner to become a trusted source for counsel.
Grant’s real estate experience includes negotiating and drafting commercial leases for landlords and tenants throughout Kansas and Missouri. He has assisted his clients in both the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties by negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence, and drafting closing documents to ensure a successful closing. Recent real estate transactions he has handled include the negotiation and sale of a hotel, the purchase of a commercial strip mall fully occupied with commercial tenants, the sale of a veterinary hospital and subsequent building lease to buyer/tenant, and a multitude of purchases and sales of residential real estate throughout the area.
